International Investment Center (IIC) is an international non-profit organization, founded in 1994 and  registered in the Russian Federation. It is accredited in Switzerland, Austria, Italy and the United States and holds special consultative status with the UN Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC), consultative status with UNIDO (United Nations Industrial Development Organization).

IIC main activities are: development of international  relations and economic cooperation, exchange of experts  and youth delegations, organization of conferences and international fellowships for representatives of scientific and research organizations, NGOs and business organizations, attraction of international investments, research and analytic work. 

The Center is engaged in research activities, cooperates with  the Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Italy, Switzerland, Russian Federation, as well as with various scientific and research organizations, commercial and public organizations. 

IIC is actively involved in UN programs aimed at developing of economic cooperation, including the development of volunteering. In 2008-2014 IIC had implemented a number of research on economic and social issues in Russia and CIS with UN Volunteers and UN Economic Development Program (UNDP).

During 2000-2006 IIC was  e-Commerce Trade-Point of UNCTAD. 

IIC is devoted to organization of international conferences and presentations at UN venues. For example,   in 2010-2020  were conducted XI International Conferences: "Public Diplomacy and International Cooperation" (including volunteer activities) and "International Cooperation:Innovation as a Tool for Social and Economic Changes”, which  were held in Geneva in the Palais des Nation and CERN, and WIPO with the support of Directorate General of the UN Office in Geneva, CERN. 

IIC cooperates with the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) as an expert organization on innovations and investments, energyefficiency, public-private partnerships and technical cooperation and annually appoint  delegations to attend the UN meetings. 

 IIC offers cooperation in organizing economic missions to Switzerland, Italy, Austria, the United States, visiting  United Nations events and meetings with government and business community (UN European Economic Commission, United Nations Conference on Trade and Development, International Trade Centre, regional economic development offices, banks, Chambers of Commerce, business associations, etc.). Trips may include visits to manufacturing facilities, innovative business centers, business incubators and municipal infrastructure facilities. 

IIC is also engaged in the development of sister-city relations for the regions and towns (including small and historic towns). 

In 2001, the International NGO "International  Investment Center” has become the winner of the All-Russian competition  on the project "Strategy for the Development of a Small Town" in 2000 - 2001 in the framework of the “Small Towns of Russia ". 

The Center collaborates with various international and foreign organizations, including: United Nations, World Bank, Chambers of Commerce of Italy,  etc. 

IIC President - Andrei I.Generalov, a lawyer, Member of International Federation of Journalists. 

 IIC Director- Olga V. Generalova-Kutuzova,  was a Hubert H.Humphrey Fellow (The American University, Washington, D.C.) in 1994-95. She had an internship in the Congressional Research Service (CRS) of the US Congress and had served as the  Russian regional representative of the US Department of Commerce, expert of UNECE.
